![]() If connecting renpy to a database is possible with python code. *System Analysis and Design, me and my group mates decided to do a dating sim, and the professor wanted it to have a database, well not necessarily something like mysql and access, as long as data is saved onto a file, it's valid. ![]() *if this is confidential stuff, I still need it, but I won't spill the information at all, or use is against Ren'Py and it's gamers. I seriously hope that the saves are in a database/database like file. ![]() I ALSO NEED TO CONNECT REN'PY TO A DATABASE IF REN'PY DOESN'T HAVE A DATABASE AT ALL. To make it short, if ren'py has a database of sorts, I NEED TO ACCESS, EDIT AND VIEW IT. I need to access and take a look on how and where ren'py stores the savesĪlso, I'm going to need some kind of database/storage file to put in user data (lvl, ID#, name).

![]() One thing I liked about Halfquake was the way they could make something a little scary (The beginning of Halfquake: Sunrise for example) without doing anything that could potentially hurt your ears. As you walk down it you hear an ear splitting scream (repeated later), and as I had my volume turned up high I didn’t like it. Next thing worth mentioning was the path that lead to the moon, which can be seen in the main screenshot. Overall, this probably took me 10 minutes and I didn’t enjoy that at all. First of all the humor was incredibly poor and was one of the major reasons I loved the HQ series, secondly there was little music which really made the mod bland and boring and thirdly it was so frustrating.Īt the start we have to wait for a really long time for something to happen, then we have some annoying puzzle that requires you to go along a thin white path. It lacked many things that the other ones had. This is easily the worst of the four mods in my opinion. My first time playing this one, and I really didn’t enjoy it. Yes, you will need excellent jumping and timing, but so what? We all need a little practice. Now, I know many players love them but it really seems to be either love it or hate it.Īnyway, one puzzle was hard and the last puzzle was an absolute nightmare, all those spinning cubes etc.Īnyway, put aside your hesitation and approach this as a puzzle mod, pure and simple. Seriously, if these were taken from the abstract setting we have now and into a more realistic setting instead of slamming mods like these we would have more of a universal acceptance. Take away all that sadistic rhetoric and posturing and we actually have some interesting puzzles. Sure, it’s almost exactly the same as the previous 2 mods, but somehow it does inspire dread in me. Well, there’s little story here and normally that’s a bad thing, but when I viewed this mod as simply a dark puzzle mod, my mood changed. How so, you say, and why do you keep putting questions in mouth? Sure, I could easily change it, but you know what? Playing “The Present” was a completely different experience. Why? Because as I was moving the mouse to the “maybe” icon, it decided to go right and hit the “Play It” icon instead. Other than that, this one missed the feeling the mod had but still has its interest structures.Ī short user map add-on for Half-Quake Amen. ![]() I quite liked the design of the maze with the bars that move up and down giving a clue to the shape to be interesting. A lot more green was used than usual but nothing too special. ![]() ![]() Some areas however were pretty much the same level of design but overall, the structure wasn’t too fantastic. Similar again but a little more basic looking this time. There is also a jump puzzle which was very annoying but it isn’t too long at all, so losing interest in that area wasn’t so likely. The overall feel of the experience missed that of which the modification contained which was a shame, very empty feeling compared to it. I quite liked the stairs which was both a challenge and frustrating. Although there wasn’t anything too special about the map it was fairly enjoyable experience. Puzzles were not reused and has some new ideas which made the map worth playing through. This time round, it’s a lot shorter but still worth a shot. Pretty much similar to the full modification, however you play as a different character looking for the present.
You'll have moments when you can grab hold of a weakened enemy and then use a series of button inputs to trigger a crushing final blow. The contextual attacks also book a return engagement in God of War: Betrayal. Each one of these weapons or magic attacks have their own strengths against numerous underlings or vicious boss monsters. Kratos has access to several other choice weapons, such as Medusa's Head, Army of Hades, and the Blade of Artemis. You do not have as many combo possibilities in God of War: Betrayal as you did in God of War II, but there are still several combos such as running into an enemy as you unleash the chain swords. His default weapon, the chain swords (Athena's Blades) whip all around the screen, slicing up enemies, tossing them into the air, and leaving them on the floor in a crumpled mess. Kratos is all about action, so expect to jam on the 5 button regularly to use his brutal attacks. The action and puzzle elements are very much true to the original PS2 games - this really is an extension of the God of War universe. But it's important to note right away that God of War: Betrayal is not just a cookie-cutter platformer with Kratos pasted over some other non-descript hero. Kratos' first mobile adventure is a 2D side-scroller, not entirely unlike those we saw during the glory days of the 16-bit generation. In telling the tale of Kratos' rise before a spectacular fall at the beginning of God of War II, many will tremble at the feet of this warrior-god and many a god will be displeased. ![]() God of War: Betrayal fills in the gaps between the first two God of War games, when Kratos defeated Ares to claim an Olympian throne and got something of a big head about it. ![]() ![]() Mobile is a valid gaming platform - and you can tell 'em Kratos said so. Between this and the recent announcement that Square's Parasite Eve is going mobile, the hardcore gaming crowd that turns its collective noses up at the smallest screen can no longer afford to traffic is such condescension. Except this time, the electrifying anti-hero of the God of War saga is wreaking havoc not on a PlayStation system, but mobile phones. And lo, Kratos set forth from Olympus to cleave the unclean and the unbelievers in two with his mighty chain swords, wetting the earth with rivers of fresh blood. ![]() Moreover, apps based on this API run perfectly well on all systems, including supercomputers, so scalability is not a problem. Regardless of the computer or operating system being used, all applications developed using OpenGL specifications are visually alike. The interface is continuously updated, and new features get announced way before they are released, so developers get time to adapt to changes. Furthermore, the presence of the software on multiple platforms for over seven years has ensured its stability. Developers from around the globe rely on its neutral and truly open specifications. OpenGL is considered to be the only universal standard graphics library. OpenGL offers numerous universal benefits Not barred by platforms and operating systems, developers can leverage its power to create a wide range of applications, quickly and effectively. ![]() The graphics standard interface incorporates a wide range of visualization and texture mapping functions, allowing for maximum innovation in the field of application development. It’s known for its quality and has been used by developers in numerous industries such as entertainment, medical imagery, broadcasting, CAD, virtual reality, and more. Since 1992, OpenGL has been the primary source for developing interactive and captivating graphics. The graphics standard shared by OpenGL libraries finds use in numerous ways to create and manipulate two and three-dimensional vector graphics. It is up to the developers to have different implementations, provided the end-results are the same as those specified by OpenGL. OpenGL doesn’t share implementation details. Developers may use this knowledge to find practical solutions to how each function must operate. In other words, OpenGL download identifies and clearly states the specific performance and final output of each function in its library. |
